ST 755 was built in Texas, and became part of a batch of tugs given to Greece after WWII to help restart the Greek shipping industry. It was owned by the Nicolas E. Vernicos Salvage and Towage Co. Ltd. of Piraeus and named 'Vernicou Irini'. Retired in the 90s, it was laid up in Salonika before being donated to a leading transport and industry museum in Turkey in 2003 and towed to Istanbul.
