USS Tonkawa ATA 176 (Circa 1944 - 45) The picture was taken from the ship s whaleboat with a box camera and developed on board. In this profile view you can clearly see all the weapons, the 3" deck gun, twin 50 on the flying bridge, to the aft of that and down on the main bridge are two single 20mm port & starboard, one pointing up and the other horizontal and another twin 50 on the port side of the boat deck (aft of the boom).
