Sad end to a fine Cutter. The Avoyel tied up in disrepair, neglect and unappreciated in Pensacola FL. 1970 This is the last time I saw her and it saddened me dearly because in a way I grew up on the Avoyel and became a man. Spent my 17,18,19 and 20th years aboard her and the
crew that I knew in that time were my brothers and fathers and they looked after me and laid the foundation for who I am today. I will never forget the Avoyel or it's crew!   Calm Sea's Fair Winds to the lot of you!  (Contributed By Terry Vincent)
