USS CHICKASAW ATF-83 Photo is probably dated 1954, as hull # is small. Note what appears to be a commercial Radar antenna. Also note boat hoist instead of davit. She is carrying a 30ft motor launch on port side. Lamar says a 26ft motor whale boat was carried on starboard side. Also note 40mm guns still there. (Contributed by Lamar B. Jones) |
