USS NAPA ATO 32 My father, J. D. Osborne SM1C, served aboard the Napa at the
beginning of WW2. They were ordered to scuttle her on April 9, 1942 they
did so. The crew was then assigned to the 4th Marine Regiment on
Corregidor for beach defense. They served in that capacity until the
fall of Corregidor on 6 May 1942. (Contributed by
